Boba-Blast

For our final project in Software Design at Olin College, my partner and I created an interactive game using the Python library Pygame. I designed all of the game graphics using Adobe Illustrator.

The Github repository contains installation instructions and code files, and the project site explains the project goal, game description, and game components. You can see a quick demo here!

Game Design

I wanted all of the game design components to follow a colorful and fun theme. For inspiration, I looked for photos of Asian cities at night, neon backgrounds, and bold letters. Below is a mood / inspiration board.

I then used Adobe Illustrator to create designs for the game background, font, and components (player, lives, etc.)

Due to the easy playing level of the game and the short timeline of the project, I decided to stick with simpler designs to help convey the bright theme of the game.
